the ultimate packing tip

Hey, Gnomies!

We've got a lot to update you on so let's get into it.

But first: Do you have any packing tips? Hit reply and share your wisdom! I'll feature the best ones in our upcoming packing tips blog post.

Packing has always been my least favorite part of digital nomad life but I've developed some hacks over the last 8 years so I'm going to share them in a blog post and I thought why not include tips from the Gnomieverse too?! Feel free to respond with questions about packing and I can answer them in the post.

What's new with us? 🎒

We returned to Summer Camp Music Festival, now called Solshine Reverie for the 8th year in a row at the end of May. There were lots of changes that came with the rebrand but we still had a blast.

There were fewer stages which meant less running from stage to stage to catch everything you want to see. We had an incredible time making memories with old friends and meeting new ones. Check out our 10 favorite sets in our reel on Instagram or Facebook.

We've been catching some awesome shows in Asheville - Primus, Khruangbin, DJ Logic and Friends, to name a few.

We zipped over to Charlotte for a weekend to catch up with friends and celebrate my cousin's college graduation. We spent an afternoon in Durham for my grandfather’s 92nd birthday bash - go Papa! Now, we’re back in my hometown for my little nephew's 3rd birthday and Father’s Day.

Being a digital nomad means I don’t have to miss out on these important moments any more. It was tough missing these when we were in China.

Course update alert! 🚀

We refreshed The Digital Nomad Income Blueprint - our free course - and moved it to a new platform for an even better learning experience.

Current students, you're good on the old platform, but if you're curious about the updates, enroll on the new platform here. It’s free only for a limited time—don't miss out!

Digital Nomad Tip of the Month: Here's my ultimate packing tip for digital nomads - find a way to save space. We use and love these reusable compression travel bags from Target. This isn't an affiliate link. I just love using these bags! They especially make carry-on travel so much easier but I use them for any kind of trip. Plus, they help me stay organized.

What's Coming Up

Thinking about becoming a Virtual Assistant or freelancer?

My friend Hannah Dixon is bringing her Free 5 Day Challenge back next week, June 24th-28th.

There are so many benefits to becoming a VA or freelancer - freedom, flexibility, and fun. But just like with any career path, working as a virtual assistant or freelancer isn’t for everyone, and Hannah wants to give people the opportunity to peek behind the curtains and see for themselves if this is the career path for them. Charging a fee to gain this knowledge would defeat that purpose, and thus she offers it absolutely free.

Sign up for the challenge here.

You can get to know more about Hannah and the Free 5 Day Challenge in my interview with her on our YouTube channel.

That's it for this newsletter. Thanks for opening and reading it to the end! We appreciate it more than you know.

Feel free to write back! We love hearing from you :-D

Hey, Reader! One of my favorite English students - who's now a good friend - recently spent a week with us here in Albania. When we first started our classes, he was curious about the idea of a location-independent lifestyle. He was already working remotely but hadn’t taken the leap into traveling just yet. After hearing more about my adventures and getting a bit of advice, he finally took the plunge. Fast forward to today: he's on multi-month trips and has joined us not once, but twice, on...

Hey, Reader! The number one question I get when I tell people about our lifestyle is, "How do you do it? How can you afford to travel and live like this?” I get where they're coming from. Most people only know travel as going on vacation, so they assume we must be rich to pull off this lifestyle. But here’s the thing: we’re not rich, and you don’t have to be to live a location-independent lifestyle. If you're curious about how to create this lifestyle for yourself, then I’ve got something...
